NJRC & HCCC Summer Training Institute

Participants earn a certification of completion for the selected class upon successful completion.

*For Court-Involved Persons Only! (incarceration or Drug Court), Addiction Treatment, and Combat Veterans: Join our apprentice training for new careers.
*High School Diploma or GED required for admission.

Location: The Governor’s Reentry Training and Employment Center 195 Campus Drive, Kearny NJ 07032
Time Class: 9:00 am – 1:30 pm

Days Group 1 June 17 – August 5 2024

Days Group 2 July 15 – August 26 2024

REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

Online Registration: Wednesday, May 15- Friday, May 31 on Eventbrite Registration
In-person Registration: at NJRC Training Center on Wednesday, May 29, Thursday, May 30, and Friday, May 31

Summer Training Institute (STI) Courses and Credentials include:

STI Cohort 1: June 17 – July 8

General Construction Pathway
• Building Construction Course – OSHA 30, Flagger, Scaffold, Fall Prevention, Drug & Alcohol Certifications.
• Forklift Operator, General Industry OSHA-30, Scissor Lift Operator, Lockout/Tagout Certifications.

Healthcare Pathway
• Peer Recovery Specialist, Recovery Coach Academy, Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coach Certifications.
• Phlebotomy Technician * (3 month Course), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Certified Phlebotomy Technician Certification.

Digital Literacy
• Microsoft Basics (Optional), Hudson County Community College Certificate of Completion.

 STI Cohort 2: July 15 – August 26

General Construction Pathway
• Building Construction Course – OSHA 30
• Forklift Operator
• Solar Installation (Optional), Solar PV Installer, and Green Construction Certification

Healthcare Pathway
• Pharmacy Technician
