RWJBarnabas, Clara Maass Medical Center provides on-site medical and behavioral health care screenings for NJRC program participants. Malo Smiles also provides dental screenings to participants. A substantial percentage, upwards of two-thirds of NJRC participants, while
incarcerated, have not had access to medical diagnostic care.

Illnesses associated with incarceration, namely diabetes, hepatitis C, and HIV, are frequently not diagnosed in a timely manner. The LeFrak Center offers early diagnosis.
